Progetti Fondazione Arte CRT

We promote culture and the approach to contemporary art of audiences of all ages, through training programmes, visiting experiences and activities in support of the contemporary art system in Turin and throughout Piedmont.

Our actions for the development of the contemporary art system in Turin and Piedmont and our programmes for the public, professionals and communities are articulated around six key words: Collection, the focus of the Foundation’s institutional identity and its holdings; Internationalization, one of the strategies of the 2024-2027 programme, opening up to international exhibition circuits; Professions in modern and contemporary art, with a new training and education programme; Public Space, identified as the favoured space to develop artworks involving residents, local authorities and associations; Education, the Foundation’s means to attract visitors of all ages to the languages of art; Community, the red thread that weaves together all the Foundation’s projects, directly addressing a wealth of diverse community building: professionals, students, citizenry, children, young and elderly people as well as the more vulnerable.

Areas of intervention

Collection

An asset for the museum system and the community.

The Foundation’s collection has been exhibited in various venues and placed at the disposal of the two most important contemporary art institutions in Piemonte, GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino and Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea and the temporary exhibition hosted at OGR Torino.

Internationalization

The dialogue with the system.

The Foundation acts as an ambassador and protagonist on the international art scene through exhibitions, loans of works to the most important national and international institutions and the awarding of acquisition prizes at the Artissima International Art Fair (Turin) and ARCOmadrid (Madrid).

Professions

High level free training plan.

Turin: from City of Contemporary Art to City Laboratory of Contemporary Art Professions. An investment in specialised training, research and professionalisation by Aperto, a project promoted and financed by Fondazione Arte CRT, which aims to provide Turin and Piedmont with a free high-level training programme to attract talent from all over Italy.

Public Space

Widespread heritage, institutional synergy and active citizenship.

Radis, the Foundation’s new four-year project, encompasses the entire Region Piedmont, thanks to the collaboration of the main banking foundations, in order to produce works in public space that are designed to enter into dialogue with local history, the environment and the landscape. The new productions will be accompanied by a public programme and an educational programme for schools.

Education

Space, time and the experience of contemporary art.

In continuity with the more than ten years renowned ZonArte‘s approach (2010-2021), the new aulArte project is in direct dialogue with Piedmont’s schools, their teachers and classes, involving the Education Departments of local museums and foundations.

Community

Engage, build, support.

Community is a guiding principle of the Foundation’s focus on citizenship, and at the same time it is the word that sums up the actions taken to support professional and expert communities, and thus the local art system and its audiences, with the aim of making the area an attractive destination for national and international tourism.
In this sense, we mean the support of the Artissima International Art FairOuverture, The Phair. and Exposed Torino Foto Festival.

The projects with OGR

OGR Torino is a hub of contemporary creativity, a laboratory dedicated to creativity and innovation: the ideal place to welcome experimentation and new ideas. From 2017 to 2023, the synergy with OGR has given rise to free multidisciplinary projects aimed at a wide audience, accompanied by educational opportunities in close dialogue with the activities of the Fondazione Arte CRT.

Since 2024, in line with OGR Torino’s identity, collaboration has intensified through the production of site-specific exhibition projects that complement Cult’s programming, and through a cultural incubation workshop in partnership with Feat. Ventures (a company based in the OGR Tech spaces) as part of Aperto’s free seminars.
