Who We Are

The Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT has been established in 2000 by the Fondazione CRT, with the aim of enhancing and valorising the cultural and artistic heritage of Turin and Piedmont.
The approaches of the Foundation are the acquisition of new works of art, available to the public and the prominent cultural institutions in the area, and the implementation of projects for the development, strengthening and efficiency, of the entire system. In partnership with the OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni, the Foundation also puts in place various actions to bring contemporary art closer to an increasingly vast and widespread audience.

Our Activies
THE COLLECTION
The Foundation focuses its activities and resources almost exclusively on the enrichment of its Collection the purchase of works (with an overall investment of more than 40 million Euro), then loaned to the GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino and Castello di Rivoli – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea. In this way, it provided the two museums with the opportunity to create a single major collection, completing their existing ones. It also led the city of Turin to interface and to compete with the leading Italian and foreign institutions in the field.

SUPPORTING THE SYSTEM
Education, training, fruition and communication are the four keywords through which the Foundation promoted and supported a network of Piedmontese art institutions, creating an integrated and synergic system for the spread of art across the territory and its promotion among a vast and diverse public.
