Aperto
Professions
Aperto, a free training programme for contemporary art professionals, promoted by Fondazione Arte CRT, the art-oriented arm of Fondazione CRT.
The seminar is the format chosen to deepen a specific area: it combines the acquisition of new skills with the theoretical and reflective dimension and workshop activity. Each seminar lasts three days and is given by Italian and international lecturers and guests. They are open to a maximum of 20 participants admitted through individual open calls. Participants can apply for one or more seminars.
The project brings together a network of contemporary institutions and spaces with recognised expertise in the field of training and takes place at their premises in Turin. The partners design the seminars together with the team that conceived the project (Giorgina Bertolino, Irene Calderoni, Bernardo Follini, Vittoria Martini). The seminar is the format chosen to explore a specific area in depth: it combines the acquisition of new skills with theory and reflection and workshop activities.
After the success of the first two series of seminars, the 2026 Aperto programme will return with an even more varied programme: six free seminars, from March to December, new collaborations and new voices called upon to share tools, experiences and positions.
SEMINARS
Edition 2026
Seminario 1 | LA FIERA COME LABORATORIO DI PROFESSIONALITÀ
11 – 13 March 2026
Curated by Luigi Fassi, Artissima’s Director, and his team. The seminar will explore the management processes of an art fair.
Through lectures, meetings and discussions, the seminar has two main objectives. Firstly, it aims to analyse Artissima as an entrepreneurial entity with a strong institutional identity, exploring the decision-making, organisational and operational processes that underpin its operations. The second objective is to understand how the various professionals involved — from management and strategy to communication and relations with galleries, collectors, professionals and partners — contribute to striking a balance between cultural research and economic sustainability.
Artissima, an entrepreneurial entity with an institutional identity, will be analysed through the various professional roles that drive this complex organisation, which finds its motivation and challenges in the intersection of culture and commerce. The seminar will also feature presentations by key figures from the local art scene, providing a direct comparison with the roles of those who interact with the fair.
The seminar is intended for 20 participants aged 21–35 with study or work experience in the art and cultural heritage market, marketing, communication, organisation, or contemporary artistic production. It is designed as an opportunity for learning, guidance and exchange.
Taking place from 11 to 13 March 2026, the seminar will be held in collaboration with the Fondazione Torino Musei in the spaces of the GAM – Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino. As well as face-to-face meetings with team members, there will be special visits to organisations that play a leading role in the city’s art system with an international scope.
