EXPOSED TORINO PHOTO FESTIVAL 2026 | LAID BARE
The third edition of the EXPOSED Torino Photo Festival will take place from 9 April to 2 June 2026 – temporary indoor and outdoor exhibitions and much more.
The third edition of the EXPOSED Torino Photo Festival is now officially open. Running until 2 June, the programme features 18 exhibitions, talks, special events and initiatives across the city. All of these can be visited for free or at a reduced price with the PASS EXPOSED. As one explore the ‘Photography Mile’, a route linking the festival’s exhibition venues and beyond, you can discover the city’s rich photographic heritage.
The theme chosen for the 2026 edition is Mettersi a nudo (Laid bare): an invitation to look within and beyond appearances, to question the relationship between identity and representation, body and image, visible and invisible. This open and multi-layered theme runs through the exhibitions, talks and events held throughout the city, involving national and international artists and institutions and giving rise to a constellation of perspectives and viewpoints in dialogue with each other. From the 19th to the 21st century, the heart of photography laid bare.
Promoted by a committee comprising Città di Torino, Regione Piemonte, Camera di Commercio di Torino, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, and the Fondazione CRT in collaboration with the Fondazione Arte CRT and Intesa Sanpaolo, and coordinated by the Fondazione per la Cultura Torino, the third edition of EXPOSED, curated and organised by CAMERA – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia, aims to highlight and reinforce Turin’s reputation as a city of photography.
Now in its third edition, the festival is entering a new phase, with the artistic direction of Walter Guadagnini — one of the most influential figures in contemporary Italian and international photography — taking the helm as artistic director. It is not merely an exhibition platform, but rather a structured curatorial framework capable of guiding content, languages and relationships. It has a project for Turin that combines curatorial quality and widespread participation, and it fosters a constant dialogue between venues, artists and the public.
The programme for the third edition of EXPOSED comprises 18 temporary indoor and outdoor exhibitions, as well as talks, portfolio reviews, screenings and other events. These have been organised in collaboration with Turin’s leading institutions, independent organisations and key figures from the city’s art scene. After a four-day opening weekend (9–12 April) the programme continues with a packed calendar offering true immersion in yesterday’s and today’s photography.
