CIMAM | A VISUAL RECOLLECTION

A photographic account of the 57th Annual Conference.

The 57th annual conference of CIMAM (the International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art) was hosted by OGR Torino, the Teatro Carignano and the Centrale Nuvola Lavazza in Turin.

Over the course of three days, meetings, artistic interventions and working sessions brought together over 300 delegates from around 90 countries to explore the theme of ‘Enduring Game: Expanding New Models of Museum Construction”, guided by the motto “Of Necessity, Virtue”. Professionals from the museum sector were asked to imagine new forms of governance, more inclusive institutional models, and renewed ways of relating to the public.

From keynote lectures to performances and moments of collective dialogue, the conference offered an opportunity for wide-ranging discussion on the future of contemporary art institutions.

Organised by CIMAM for its members, the event was supported by Fondazione Arte CRT and Fondazione CRT, and curated by the Content Committee in collaboration with Fondazione Sandretto, Fondazione Torino Musei (with GAM Torino and MAO), and Castello di Rivoli.
