#RaccontoPlurale

fruition

A project devised during the months of lockdown with the aim of supporting the work of the artistic community of Piedmont and the Aosta Valley.

Promoted and supported by the Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT, #RaccontoPlurale is a project created during the months of lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic with the aim of supporting the work of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley artistic community, an indispensable channel for the interpretation of cultural, social, economic and psychological phenomena of the contemporary world, one that has been severely penalised by the exceptional circumstances that have disrupted and conditioned all of our lives.

Thanks to the support of a Scientific Committee (made up of Francesca Comisso, Olga Gambari and Luisa Perlo) and the collaboration of TAG Torino Art Galleries (the association of Turinese galleries), 60 of the over 300 applications received in response to an open call were selected. The call invited applicants to describe the thoughts, emotions and difficulties arising from an extreme situation such as lockdown and social distancing, making their voices heard through the languages of the visual arts.

The result of this process was brought together in a cofanetto featuring the 60 selected projects, providing a unique and unprecedented snapshot of the current artistic scene in the area. A narrative that develops through drawings, videos, photographs, texts, paintings and digital works, generously produced by the creativity, reflections and sensitivity of the artists who brought it to life.

#RaccontoPlurale 2020

Of the more than 300 applications received, the Scientific Committee selected 60 by 60 different artists (including well-known names from the Turin art scene such as Franco Ariaudo, Botto e Bruno, Lia Cecchin, Eva Frapiccini, Marzia Migliora, Alessandro Quaranta, Irene Pittatore, etc., as well as lesser-known names that brought to light a hidden wealth of professionalism and artistic sensitivity). The result is a unique and unprecedented snapshot of the current art scene in our territory, a narrative that develops through drawings, videos, photographs, paintings and digital works, projects and texts, generously produced by the creativity, reflections and sensitivity of those who, more than anyone else, know how to interpret the changes and difficulties of everyday life.
