The third edition of Radis<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, a public art project conceived and promoted by Fondazione Arte CRT<\/strong>, the art-focused arm of Fondazione CRT<\/strong>, Fondazione Arte CRT<\/strong>, in collaboration with Fondazione CRC<\/strong><\/a>, is being launched. Alongside this, the public programme<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/em> of events is returning, designed to engage the public ahead of the unveiling of Iv\u00e1n Argote<\/strong>\u2019s artwork on 11 October 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year’s programme runs from July to October<\/strong> and features a new edition of Supercondominio<\/strong>, as well as a series of events entitled ‘Opere Vive: Percorsi di Valorizzazione Arte Pubblica del Cuneese’<\/em><\/strong> (Living Works: Initiatives to Promote Public Art in the Cuneo Area). This initiative aims to revitalise and raise awareness of artistic projects throughout the province of Cuneo by focusing on the deep connection with, and active participation of, the local communities that live alongside these works daily.<\/p>\n

The Opere Vive events, curated by the ART.UR<\/strong> cultural association, will give the public the chance to explore an artistic heritage that blends with the landscape and local communities. This project aligns with the mapping and promotional work<\/a> initiated by Fondazione Arte CRT<\/strong> for the first edition of Radis<\/strong>, a publication edited by Vittoria Martini that catalogues and recounts works deeply connected to their locations, drawing inspiration from their histories and the communities that inhabit them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE CALENDAR<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday 11 July<\/strong>, in Monforte d\u2019Alba<\/strong>, an afternoon dedicated to exploring Alex Cecchetti<\/strong>\u2019s work Gratitudine<\/em><\/strong> through guided tours led by curator Francesca Comisso and a creative workshop open to all. Participants will be invited to observe, interpret and rework their experience of engaging with public art, transforming their impressions and reflections into visual and narrative works. The programme may continue with a visit to Guido Harari<\/strong>\u2019s photographic exhibition Wall of Sound 20.0<\/strong>, organised by the Monfortearte Association to mark the 50th anniversary of Monfortinjazz. The event is organised in collaboration with Monfortinjazz<\/strong> and under the patronage of the Municipality of <\/strong>Monforte d\u2019Alba <\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On Saturday 8 August,<\/strong> in Limone Piemonte<\/strong>, there will be an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between personal history, community and the local area, exploring themes of heritage, identity and local memory evoked by Alice Visentin<\/strong>\u2019s work My Heritage<\/em>, through guided tours and a creative workshop inspired by the work, open to all. The programme will take place in the afternoon, with a guided tour at 4.00 pm for children and families and a guided tour at 5.00 pm for adults.<\/p>\n

On Sunday 13 September<\/strong>, in Bra<\/strong>, Enrico Iuliano<\/strong>\u2019s work Estendere il tempo<\/em><\/strong> will serve as the starting point for an experience dedicated to the perception of time and inner journey. Alongside opportunities to explore and discover the work in greater depth, participants will be involved in physical and experiential activities focused on listening, slowing down and mindfulness, such as yoga and meditation. The activities are organised in collaboration with the cultural association Creativamente Roero<\/strong> and Kinetica Fitness ASD<\/strong>, as part of the Municipality of Bra\u2019s \u2018Sport in Piazza<\/strong>\u2019 initiative.<\/p>\n

On Saturday 5 <\/strong>and Sunday 6 September<\/strong>, the eighth edition of Supercondominio<\/strong> will take place \u2013 the gathering of independent European spaces dedicated to the production and promotion of contemporary art, founded in 2018 at the Castello di Rivoli \u2013 Museum of Contemporary Art on the initiative of the then Director, Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev.
\nSupercondominio8 – Il Bene Comune<\/strong>, curated by Treti Galaxie<\/strong>, an art project founded by Matteo Mottin and Ramona Ponzini, will take place this year for the first time across two venues: on Saturday 5th <\/strong>in Dogliani<\/strong>, the town that hosted the second edition of Radis<\/strong>, dedicated to bringing together and presenting the participating organisations, and on Sunday 6th <\/strong>in Bene Vagienna<\/strong>, the venue for the current edition, which will host the annual assembly. Spreading the programme across two neighbouring towns is intended to highlight the collaborative and local nature of the project, which is based on building networks and relationships between different organisations.<\/p>\n

On Sunday 25 October<\/strong>, in Dogliani<\/strong>, the final event will be dedicated to Abetare (A Day at School)<\/strong> \u2013 the work by Petrit Halilaj<\/strong> that was unveiled during the second edition of Radis.<\/p>\n

THE EXHIBITION<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Sunday 11 October<\/strong>, alongside Iv\u00e1n Argote\u2019s work, an exhibition will open at Palazzo Lucerna in Ror\u00e0<\/strong> di Bene Vagienna<\/strong>, featuring works from the collections of the Fondazione Arte CRT<\/strong> and the Fondazione CRC<\/strong>, with the aim of making them accessible once again to the wider community in the Piedmont region.
\nThe title of the exhibition, La mano sinistra del buio<\/em><\/strong>, refers to Ursula K. Le Guin\u2019s famous science fiction novel published in 1969, The Left Hand of Darkness<\/em>. The works on display depict a reality that transcends the dichotomies between nature and culture, the known and the unexplored, the human and the non-human, the biological and the transgenic, and invite us to discover a world in which all binary oppositions are transcended \u2013 a world which, like the novel\u2019s protagonist, seems incomprehensible at first glance, yet in which there is room for empathy, sharing, friendship and mutual trust. The exhibition features works by Francesco Cavaliere, Patricia Dom\u00ednguez, Regina de Miguel, Aleksandra Mir, Isadora Neves Marques and Diego Perrone.<\/p>\n

THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME FOR SCHOOLS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alongside the public programme, Radis will once again be accompanied by an educational programme for local school<\/strong>s this year, organised by Fel\u00ecz<\/strong>. The first series of sessions, entitled ‘L’Attesa’ <\/em>(The Wait), took place in April and May 2026. It involved primary and lower secondary school classes from Bene Vagienna Comprehensive School, as well as upper secondary school classes from Fossano. The sessions guided the pupils on a journey of discovery into public art while they awaited the arrival of the artwork. A second part, entitled ‘Invasioni poetiche’ <\/em>(Poetic invasions), is aimed at primary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools and will take place in autumn 2026, once the artwork has been installed.<\/p>\n
