The 6th edition of Supercondominio<\/b><\/em> will be held on Saturday August the 31st and Sunday September the 1st, at 11 am at the Rittana Multifunctional Centre (Cuneo): <\/strong>it will be a meeting of European production and promotion of contemporary art originated at the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art where the first five editions were held. For the first time ever, with the support of the Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT<\/strong>, this unprecedented edition takes on a European dimenision.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe <\/em>Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT<\/i><\/strong>\u201d says President Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo<\/strong> \u201cis pleased to welcome and support the 6th edition of <\/em>Supercondominio<\/strong>, an opportunity for artists to meet and discuss residencies, a topic dear to the Foundation and a linchpin of the <\/em>Radis <\/strong>project. For the first time, the event, <\/em>Supercondominio6 \u2013 Paradis<\/strong> is open to other countries, blending local and European contexts, focusing both on the community and the international scene: ten independent contemporary art spaces have been invited to Rittana as well as three artists who will be sharing their aims, experiences and stories with both audiences and community<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Supercondominio6 – Paradis<\/b><\/em> is curated by Treti Galaxie<\/strong>, an art project<\/em> founded by Matteo Mottin<\/strong> and Ramona Ponzini<\/strong>, part of the Radis<\/b><\/em> public program. It will be held in the areas involved in the art project in public spaces and has been developed in cooperation with the Fondazione CRC<\/strong>. Supercondominio6 – Paradis <\/b><\/em>aims to promote dialogue between and among spaces and artists to favour debate and enhance mutual knowledge, new synergies and cooperation to be shared in events with the public.<\/p>\n

\u201cSupercondominio<\/strong> is the yearly meeting of the Italian independent spaces created in 2018 by curators Caterina Molteni and Laura Lecce<\/em>\u201d stated Treti Galaxie<\/strong>, \u201cIn times of geopolitical uncertainty, such as ours, after five editions promoted and hosted by the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art, the event\u2019s format is being transformed, changing venue and format: among the glades and refuges near Rittana on the Cottian Alps, five Italian residence projects have been invited to spend a weekend together with five other similar projects active in other European countries. The context will be that of free dialogue and mutual understanding fostered by research on the body, words and experiences presented by artists Martina Rota, Allison Grimaldi Donahue and Luca De Leva.<\/em> We hope new ideas and future cooperation may develop thus supporting a new generation\u2019s artistic research.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

There will be five Italian participant groups and five from abroad: AiR 351 <\/strong>(Cascais, Portugal), K.A.I.R.<\/strong> (Ko\u0161ice, Slovakia), Kora\u00ef<\/strong> (Nicosia, Cyprus), Rupert<\/strong> (Vilnius, Lithuania), Spiritvessel<\/strong> (Espinavessa, Spain), as well as CRIPTA747 <\/strong>(Turin), In-ruins <\/strong>(Calabria,), Studio Rizoma<\/strong> (Palermo), Pianpicollo Selvatico <\/strong>(Levice, Cuneo), Unpae <\/strong>(Roccacaramanico, Pescara) from Italy: they will exchange ideas on artists residences<\/strong>. Unconventional approaches to how we relate to public spaces will be pursued, developing non standard art venues, with activities taking place in areas far from official circuits; meetings and exchanges with the public and the communities of reference will also be included. In the two day event artists Luca De Leva<\/strong>, Allison Grimaldi Donahue<\/strong> and Martina Rota <\/strong>will also present their research with dialogical moments, performative readings and performances focussing on the body, the word and experience.<\/p>\n

Activities will take place in the town of Rittana <\/strong>and the Paraloup Hamlet<\/strong>, and will spread out to neighbouring areas with walks, meetings and open air meals. For two days the representatives of the projects and the artists will experience the area with the local community, livening the hamlet with talks, presentations and performances.<\/p>\n

Supercondominio6 \u2013 Paradis<\/b><\/em> will open at 11 am on Saturday the 31st of August<\/strong> at the Rittana Multifunctional Centre<\/strong> when visitors will be welcomed and participant spaces presented. In the afternoon, starting at 2:30 pm<\/strong>, there will be an open exchange, followed by a visit to the L’opera al nero<\/b>,<\/em> the collective exhibition of works belonging to Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT<\/strong> and Fondazione CRC<\/strong>, curated by Marta Papini and Leonardo Pietropaolo, with artist Giulia Cenci. At 4:30 pm<\/strong> Martina Rota\u2019s <\/strong>performance at the Chiot Rosa<\/strong>, followed by another open exchange. A presentation of Thyself Agency <\/strong>by Luca De Leva<\/strong> will be held between 5:30<\/strong> and 6:30<\/strong> at the Chiot Rosa<\/strong>, closing the day\u2019s events.<\/p>\n

Supercondominio6<\/b><\/em> will finish on Sunday September the 1st<\/sup><\/strong>: at 10:30<\/strong>in the morning Allison Grimaldi Donahue\u2019s<\/strong> poetic readings at the Paraloup Hamlet <\/strong>followed by yet another open exchange. The closing speeches will be held after the lunch break. All appointments and events are open to the public.<\/p>\n

Supercondominio6 – Paradis<\/b><\/em> is part of the schedule of the summer meetings of Radis\u2019 <\/em>public program, to make the public more aware of Giulia Cenci\u2019s artistic practice. Her work is a sculpture that the Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT<\/strong> will leave on permanent loan (commodatum) <\/em>to the Town of Rittana that will be unveiled on October the 6th 2024 at 3 pm in the Chiot Rosa (Rittana). <\/strong><\/p>\n

The aim of the Radis<\/b><\/em> Project was and is to enrich the Piedmontese region with a wealth of public works for the communities. The Project also includes educational programmes, public meetings and exhibition projects to return part of the Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT<\/strong>\u2019s collection to the community. The format of the first edition was organised jointly with the Fondazione CRC<\/strong> in the Stura Valley, between the Municipality of Rittana and the Hamlet of Paraloup, specifically <\/strong>at Chiot Rosa<\/strong>, a glade studded with birch trees at 1200 m asl.<\/p>\n

Torino, 2 settembre 2024. <\/em>Si \u00e8 concluso con successo Supercondominio6 – Paradis<\/strong><\/em>, l\u2019assemblea degli spazi europei di produzione e promozione dell\u2019arte contemporanea, che ha visto raccogliersi a Rittana il 31 agosto ed il1 settembre<\/strong> i rappresentanti di dieci spazi europei dedicati alle residenze d\u2019artista.<\/p>\n

Supercondominio<\/strong><\/em> \u00e8 un progetto nato al Castello di Rivoli Museo d\u2019Arte Contemporanea<\/strong> – dove si sono tenute le prime cinque edizioni – su iniziativa dell\u2019allora Direttore Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, ideato con Caterina Molteni e Laura Lecce – per la prima volta sostenuto in questa sesta edizione dalla Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT<\/strong>, e per la prima volta aperto a una dimensione europea.<\/p>\n

Supercondominio6 – Paradis<\/strong><\/em>, curato da Treti Galaxie<\/strong>, art project<\/em> fondato da Matteo Mottin<\/strong> e Ramona Ponzini<\/strong>, si inserisce nell\u2019ambito del public program di Radis<\/strong><\/em> e si \u00e8 tenuto sabato 31 agosto e domenica 1 settembre <\/strong>tra il Comune di Rittana e Borgata Paraloup, estendendosi ai territori limitrofi attraverso passeggiate – tra cui una alla Borgata Paraloup in compagnia dell’Architetto Giovanni Barberis, in collaborazione con la Fondazione Nuto Revelli<\/strong> – incontri e pranzi all\u2019aperto, nei territori che coinvolgono il progetto di arte nello spazio pubblico che la Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT <\/strong>ha realizzato in collaborazione con la Fondazione CRC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cSupercondominio6 – Paradis <\/strong>\u00e8 stato ospitato per la prima volta in un contesto non istituzionale, e riteniamo che l\u2019accoglienza, la cura e la passione delle persone e delle Associazioni dei territori di Rittana siano state fondamentali alla sua ottima riuscita\u201d<\/em> dichiara Treti Galaxie<\/strong>. \u201cSiamo grati a <\/em>Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT<\/em><\/strong> per averci affidato la curatela del progetto e per la fiducia accordataci nella rielaborazione del suo format: per la prima volta <\/em>Supercondominio<\/strong> ha assunto una dimensione internazionale, si \u00e8 aperto al dialogo attivo con gli artisti, e si \u00e8 svolto in pi\u00f9 sedi: il Centro Incontri del Comune di Rittana, il Chiot Rosa e Borgata Paraloup, ma anche informalmente in una pizzeria di Torino, nell\u2019abitacolo di un bus turistico, durante una passeggiata non programmata su un sentiero montano. Momenti apparentemente marginali ma fondamentali alla costruzione di amicizie e nuovi progetti. Inoltre, per la prima volta l\u2019evento si \u00e8 tenuto in lingua inglese, nonostante gli invitati fossero di madrelingua greca, spagnola, portoghese, slovacca e italiana. Riteniamo che l\u2019importante, nella comunicazione umana, non sia tanto il linguaggio quanto il messaggio: per questo motivo abbiamo deciso di intitolare il progetto \u2018<\/em>Paradis\u2019, una parola che contiene \u2018<\/em>Radis\u2019, e che, nelle lingue sopra citate, per assonanza richiama un termine conosciuto e facilmente identificabile da tutte e tutti. Oltre ai progetti e agli artisti coinvolti, a Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT, alla sua Presidente Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, a Grazia Sechi e Leonardo Pietropaolo, alla curatrice di <\/em>Radis Marta Papini, ci teniamo a ringraziare il Comune di Rittana, nella persona del Sindaco Giacomo Doglio, le associazioni Kosmoki e Montagna Futura, Autonoleggio B&B, Borgata Paraloup e Fondazione Nuto Revelli per la calorosa accoglienza. Ci teniamo inoltre a ringraziare l\u2019artista Martina Rota, che per cause di forza maggiore non \u00e8 riuscita a partecipare all\u2019evento.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Questo originario richiamo all\u2019orizzontalit\u00e0 ha trovato espressione e conferma nelle tematiche emerse durante le molte discussioni avvenute durante il fine settimana: nonostante le differenze geografiche, di natura giuridica e di scala istituzionale, i progetti hanno trovato un comune terreno di confronto su temi quali la funzione della presenza fisica degli artisti nei progetti di residenza, l\u2019arricchimento dato dall\u2019esperienza diretta di luoghi non familiari, e le potenzialit\u00e0 offerte dai territori decentrati.<\/p>\n

Alla sesta edizione di Supercondominio <\/strong><\/em>hanno partecipato cinque realt\u00e0 italiane e cinque provenienti dal resto dell\u2019Europa: AiR 351 <\/strong>(Cascais, Portogallo), \u00a0K.A.I.R.<\/strong> (Ko\u0161ice, Slovacchia), Kora\u00ef<\/strong> (Nicosia, Cipro), Rupert<\/strong> (Vilnius, Lituania), Spiritvessel<\/strong> (Espinavessa, Spagna), CRIPTA747 <\/strong>(Torino), In-ruins <\/strong>(Calabria), Studio Rizoma<\/strong> (Palermo), Pianpicollo Selvatico <\/strong>(Levice, CN), Unpae <\/strong>(Roccacaramanico, PE) – dialogando sul tema della residenza d\u2019artista<\/strong> e trattando approcci non convenzionali di relazione con lo spazio pubblico, di attivazione di luoghi per l\u2019arte non canonici, di svolgimento delle attivit\u00e0 in territori lontani dai circuiti ufficiali e di creazione di momenti di incontro e dialogo con il pubblico e le comunit\u00e0 di riferimento. Oltre ai collettivi, nel corso della due giorni sono intervenuti anche gli artisti Luca De Leva<\/strong> e<\/strong> Allison Grimaldi Donahue<\/strong> per presentare la loro ricerca attraverso momenti dialogici, letture performative e performance, dedicati ai temi corpo, parola ed esperienza<\/p>\n
