{"id":11852,"date":"2022-12-14T09:27:46","date_gmt":"2022-12-14T08:27:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fondazioneartecrt.it\/?post_type=news&#038;p=11852"},"modified":"2024-06-18T13:10:52","modified_gmt":"2024-06-18T11:10:52","slug":"metamorphosis-il-viaggio-formativo-e-la-giuria","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/fondazioneartecrt.it\/en\/news\/metamorphosis-il-viaggio-formativo-e-la-giuria\/","title":{"rendered":"METAMORPHOSIS: THE TRAINING CYCLE AND THE JURY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>METAmorphosis<\/em><\/strong>, the second episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artissima.art\/en\/beyond-production-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><em>Beyond Production<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong>, <\/strong>the project organized by <strong>Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT <\/strong>together with <strong>Artissima<\/strong>, in collaboration with OGR Torino, begins with the involvement of four artists and four galleries, taking part in an <strong>educational voyage <\/strong>to discover the potential of the Metaverse, and with the announcement of the jury of the <strong>OGR Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As in <em>Surfing NFT<\/em>, the first episode of Beyond Production, the Metaverse is approached through a critical perspective on the phenomenon, to train art world professionals and to inform the public at large. As in the first chapter, the <em>METAmorphosis <\/em>project moves forward with the partnership of <strong>Artshell <\/strong>software house for the art market, and <strong>LCA Studio Legale <\/strong>for the legal aspects. A new dialogue has been initiated with <strong>REVIBE &#8211; Metaverse Experience Factory<\/strong>, residing in OGR Tech.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>four artists <\/strong>and the respective <strong>galleries <\/strong>participating in the project were selected during the fair, based on careful study on the part of <strong>Ilaria Bonacossa<\/strong>, director of the National Museum of Digital Art in Milan and creator of <em>Surfing NFT. <\/em>They are: <strong>Marcos Lutyens <\/strong>\u2013 Alberta Pane, Paris, Venice \/ <strong>Eva &amp; Franco Mattes <\/strong>\u2013 Apalazzogallery, Brescia \/ <strong>Rebeca Romero <\/strong>\u2013 Copperfield, London \/ <strong>R M <\/strong>\u2013 Martina Simeti, Milan.<\/p>\n<p>The participating artists, thanks to a <strong>training cycle of three sessions<\/strong>, are presently exploring the politics and visions of new digital worlds, with the support of the project partners and experts in the field. Above all, they investigate the <strong>potentialities <\/strong>and <strong>limits <\/strong>of creativity in the Metaverse. The encounters set out to provide the artists with the correct foundations on which to invent a project \u2013 thanks to a production budget provided by Fondazione per l\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT \u2013 that narrates the digital transformation one of their physical works might have in the <strong>Metaverse<\/strong>, particularly in a 3D digital version of the dome of OGR Torino, uploaded and visible on the Spatial platform.<\/p>\n<p>The projects will be submitted to the jury of the OGR Award, which will choose the artist who has formulated the most innovative, stimulating and critical interpretation of the initial brief: to imagine how their own research and their own physical artworks could be transformed in response to the potential and limits of the Metaverse.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>international jury of the OGR Award will be composed of: Amira Gad, <\/strong>head of programmes of LAS &#8211; Light Art Space in Berlin; <strong>Lars Henrik Gass<\/strong>, director of the International Festival Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen; <strong>Samuele Piazza<\/strong>, senior curator of OGR Torino; and <strong>Domenico <\/strong><strong>Quaranta<\/strong>, art critic, curator, lecturer and author of <em>Beyond New Media Art <\/em>and <em>Surfing with Satoshi. <\/em><em>Arte, blockchain e NFT.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The winner, <\/strong>to be announced at the start of <strong>March 2023<\/strong>, will have the opportunity \u2013 thanks to the technological support of the partners involved in the project \u2013 to concretely produce their project idea, digitalizing their own physical work in the ways they have imagined.
